FACULTY POSITION
UROLOGY/SURGERY DEPARTMENT
Children's Hospital Boston
The Department of Urology at Children's Hospital Boston invites applications for a position in the broad area of basic urological diseases research. The candidate should have qualifications suitable for an appointment at the instructor or assistant professor level at Harvard Medical School. Particular attention will be paid to basic scientists with expertise in signal transduction, gene expression and molecular pathology. The Children's Hospital Urology Department is home to a George O'Brien Urological Diseases Research Center, funded by a P50 grant from the NIDDK. The department's basic science program is well-funded and thematically diverse. The successful candidate will closely interact with a large research group within the O'Brien Center and collaborating laboratories.
Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent, along with several years of postdoctoral experience, in an appropriate area of biomedical science. The new faculty member will be expected to establish an independent, extramurallyfunded research program.
